Spoiler Alert: Morbidity & Me

On New Year’s Day 2009 when I went to see Marley & Me with my six year old daughter, I had no idea I was paying for a movie from which I would need days of grief counseling and a case wine to recover. The long death scene at the end was an experience I already witnessed 6 years ago when my Jack Russell, Tulip was dying. If you are looking to “go Goth” this season and visit the dark side of depression, than this is the movie for you. If you know what it feels like to love a pet unconditionally and watch them pass on, then you’ve already seen this movie and might be happier taking your pooch for a long walk instead.
And it seems that vandals in LA seem to agree with us that euthanasia is not really all that cute. After first week of the movie’s release movie posters all over the greater Los Angeles area were “bombed” with Spoiler Alerts.
