Puppy de Paris

The prestigious décor of Paris, and testimony to French history, is at the the heart of all Puppy de Paris products. Karin Fainas’ love of Fine Jewelry along with days spent at the Place Vendome inspired these unique luxurious home accouterments. They are so refined and elegant it seems crazy to call them beds and closets!

I am smitten with this combination dog bed armoire! So absolutely regal and posh! The craftsmanship is just amazing!

Lined with the plushest of velvet this lap of luxury item is only for the most discriminating pooch!

Of course with all of this luxury one could not eat from a ceramic dog bowl . Non, non, non, non ,non!!!!!! May we present this lovely fleur-de-lis gold gilded bowl! The first mention of the fleur-de-lis is found in the Bible. It is described as the symbol of the beloved, the one who was chosen. Starting in the twelfth century, the fleur-de-lis became the emblem of royalty in France. It was Henry the IV King of France who said Love me, Love my Dog!

Teo Jasmin C’est Magnifique!

While browsing the Internet for cool stuff to post, I came across this image and instantly fell in love!

Who is this funky little pup and where can I see more? That’s when I discovered Teo Jasmin. In 2001, Angéline Bailly gives birth to her fist child, Téo as well as to her brand which she baptized Téo Jasmin! Her modifications of digital and photographic images on everything from handbags to home goods are insanely addictive!

Here are more of my faves!

Happily Ever After Chair/Dog House

This is a very interesting looking piece of furniture – What is it? The Happily Ever After Chair was designed by Kim Hyun Joo as a way to blend a dog house and a chair into one piece that let’s both coexist in a small space. Made of cast resin with a fabric seat cushion this looks like a great way to pal around with your pooch during lazy weekends. The design was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Award in 2008. Modern and stylish pet stairs from UrbanPetHaus

Newly launched UrbanPetHaus.com has a great collection of attractive modern designed pet furniture. Ranging from beds to crates to feeders and more, the UrbanPetHaus line is impressive in it’s overall style and breadth. But what really grabbed our attention are their bedroom staircase options – with 5 unique & appealing designs (see below) combining rich wood-grain veneers with clean metal framing.

Finally! We have been trying to figure out a way to give our wee Chihuahua Bernard a way to climb up into bed without having to whine at us all night. Previous to these options from UrbanPetHaus the bedroom stairs that we’ve seen in the marketplace look like cheap shag-covered Tetris pieces that will be in tatters and look terrible with more than a month of use (by Bernard as well as the bigger dogs). But these stairs look like they can handle a good amount of action while maintaining their good looks. Our only concern is whether the veneered steps might be a bit too slippery for four furry feet? I could see Mr. Jenkins and his black fuzzy paws wiping out pretty hard in a moment of excitement. But otherwise this will serve as a perfect solution for Bernard’s late-night needs.

Slick printed leather furniture from Atelier Phillipe Coudray

Good luck keeping your pooch off the furniture! The latest line from furniture designer Maurice Renoma – pairs contemporary printing techniques with traditional french furniture designs. Simply supply Atelier de Tapisserie Decoration (ATAD) with a 300 dpi photo of your favorite pooch and they will print it on the upholstery per your specifications. While we are not so sure of the wisdom behind printing a chew toy on a piece of furniture (see Bulldog photo below) – it sure does look cool! The Renoma collection is designed in the tradition of classic “Louis XV” style with a wing-chair as well as an ottoman. For more information contact ATAD thru their website.
