Kid’s Summer DIY Project-Duct Tape Dog Collar Bow Tie

PupStyle team member and children’s editor, Parker Foster Spooner has created this fun summer DIY pet fashion bow tie project for you to try out.

Step one: Select any duct tape you like but prints are really trendy especially all things with mustaches.

Step two: Cut a piece of length suitable for the size of your dog. We made ours extra small to fit Mr. Bernard our resident Chihuahua in charge.

Step 3: Fold the strip you cut in half.

Step 4: Pinch the piece you folded in half to look like a bow tie or similar to fan folding.

Step 5: Cut a small strip of tape and fold it in half to create a loop to secure the bow tie to the dog collar.

PupStylish Kids Books: The First Pup by Bob Staake

The First Pup is a non-fiction book and has very funny pictures. I liked the style of the artwork – there is no outlining of the pictures. the people don’t have many rounded edges on their body but Bo is drawn with curvy edges. I thought it was funny that the cartoons of Michelle Obama had very wide hips and Barrack Obama had a skull shaped head. Continue reading
